How to Post a Listing on Multiple Property Portals at Once
To post a listing on multiple property portals without losing an evening to it, you need two things: one complete master copy of the listing, and a way to push that copy to each portal instead of retyping it. Here is how agents in Malaysia do it, from fully manual to fully automated.
Why it takes so long by hand
Each portal asks for the same facts in a different form. Field names differ, the project has to be picked from each portal's own list of developments, photo limits and ordering rules differ, and one missing required field sends you back to the top. Multiply that by three portals and a dozen listings and it becomes a day's work every week.
Step 1: build one master listing
Everything else is copying, so get this right once. A complete listing has:
- Asking price or rent, and whether it is negotiable.
- Property type, tenure (freehold or leasehold) and title type (strata, individual, master).
- Built-up size, and land size for landed property.
- Bedrooms, bathrooms, car parks, furnishing and floor level.
- The exact project or taman name as it appears on the portals, plus the full address.
- 10 to 20 landscape photos, best room first, plus a floor plan if you have one.
- A description that states facts first: size, layout, condition, what is nearby.
If you are short on words, the free property caption generator turns the same facts into social captions.
Step 2: choose how to push it out
| Method | Effort | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Copy and paste into each portal | High, every listing, every portal | A handful of listings a month |
| Portal bulk tools or data feeds | Setup work, usually arranged at agency level | Agencies with many listings and an IT contact |
| A cross-posting tool | Fill in once, pick the portals | Individual agents and small teams |
In Rummah, you save the listing once and pick where it goes (portal posting is currently in beta). For Mudah, iProperty and EdgeProp, Rummah fills in the portal's form using your own account and saves it as a draft for you to check and publish. The same listing can go to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram. Because it posts through your own portal accounts, your packages with each portal still apply.
Step 3: check what each portal changed
Open each draft before it goes live. The fields that go wrong most often are the project name (a near-match to the wrong development), car parks, and the photo order. Fix them once on the master listing so the next push is right.
Step 4: keep every copy in sync
- Change the price in one place and push it again, rather than editing each portal separately.
- When the unit is sold or let, take it down everywhere the same day. Stale listings produce calls you cannot convert and make buyers trust the next listing less.
- Show your REN number and agency details on every listing, as the portals require.
Frequently asked questions
Can I post one listing on several property portals at once?+
Yes. You can copy it into each portal by hand, use an agency data feed, or use a cross-posting tool that fills in each portal from one listing. Rummah does this for Mudah, iProperty and EdgeProp, saving a draft on each for you to review.
Do I still need my own account on each portal?+
Yes. Cross-posting tools post through your own accounts, so each portal's package and listing rules still apply.
Is cross-posting allowed?+
Posting the same property on different portals is normal practice, provided you have the owner's authority to market it and the details are accurate. Within a single portal, follow that portal's rules on duplicate listings.
