About these calculators
Rates come from the Stamp Act 1949, the Real Property Gains Tax Act 1976 and the Solicitors' Remuneration Order, updated as Budget announcements and Finance Acts change them — the tenancy stamp duty bands, for instance, were rewritten with effect from 1 January 2025. Each calculator lists its sources and states what it does not model. They are estimates to plan with, not a substitute for a quote from your banker, lawyer or LHDN.
