SkyWorld Cassia has opened registration of interest in Batu Kawan, adding another large residential launch to mainland Penang's fast-growing southern corridor.
The planned scheme is a big one: six 29-storey residential blocks with 3,600 units, according to Penang Property Talk. Each unit is listed at 900 sq ft, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and one to two parking spaces. The maintenance fee is stated at RM0.18 psf for the first 10 years.
The project sits in Batu Kawan, near the Linear Park and within reach of Batu Kawan Industrial Park, IKEA Batu Kawan, Design Village Outlet Mall, SJK(C) Kuang Yu and the Second Penang Bridge. Those place markers matter because this part of Penang is being asked to do two things at once: house workers and families, while carrying more industrial and logistics demand.
SkyWorld's own Penang page describes its mainland Penang programme as a 200-acre township across Batu Kawan and Seberang Jaya, with Rumah Bakat Madani homes open to Malaysians who live and work in Penang. The developer also says the township uses PPVC construction technology for large-scale affordable housing.
For buyers, the useful fact is that this is still at registration stage rather than a completed launch with full price tables. Rummah has created a pending project page for SkyWorld Cassia, and it will stay in review until the directory page has passed the site's project quality gates.
