The useful number in D'Harringttons is 584. That is the planned unit count for the proposed serviced residence in Jelutong, a compact island-side address where new high-rise supply tends to be watched closely by both owner-occupiers and agents.
Penang Property Talk reported on 13 October 2026 that the project is planned by JKP Jelutong Development Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture between JKP Sdn. Bhd. and GSD Land Sdn. Bhd.
The site is described as being next to the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and less than 500 m from the Jalan Ahmad Nor exit. That puts the pitch squarely on access: Jelutong buyers are usually weighing a shorter run into George Town and the expressway against congestion, parking and density around the eastern side of the island.
The proposed building is 46 storeys. The plan reported by Penang Property Talk includes one lower-ground level, nine levels of car parking and five recreational-facility levels at Levels 10, 11, 22, 40 and 45. The serviced residence floors are planned from Level 12 to Level 45.
Published unit information is still thin, but the stated built-up size is 1,065 sq ft. On the current facts, that is the buyer's anchor. Prices have not been released. Tenure has not been confirmed. Expected completion has not been stated. Until those three numbers appear, this is a watch-list project rather than one buyers can properly compare against completed Jelutong stock.
The site also carries a bit of Penang housing memory. Penang Property Talk noted that it had previously been earmarked for an affordable housing project known as Mutiara Rini more than a decade ago. The new proposal is not being presented as that affordable project in the published information.
For agents, the immediate client script is simple: the project gives Jelutong another named future supply point, but not yet a price benchmark. Ask buyers to wait for the tenure, selling price, maintenance assumptions and completion timeline before treating it as comparable to other island high-rises.
